Whether you’re coming to us for weekly therapy, a workshop, or equine services, we offer warmth, compassion, radical honesty and radical acceptance. We challenge ourselves to stay current on emerging treatments in both mental health and horse care, and to use this knowledge to provide excellent care to the Gallatin Valley in creative and natural ways.

Claire Lawrance, MA, LCPC, NCC

owner, Therapist

Claire founded Clarity Counseling in 2019 to provide the Gallatin Valley with top-notch mental health care, in a warm, relaxed environment that complements the gold standard treatment provided.

Claire draws from her varied clinical experiences to provide the absolute best care possible. Claire has worked with children and teens in the foster care system and in residential treatment, college students, adults, couples and families. Claire currently specializes in treating relationship trauma and adults healing from early childhood trauma.

Claire uses a somatic lens and attachment theory to focus on the nervous system, the way that trauma affects our bodies, and the way that we can heal through connected, meaningful relationships.

Claire provides both equine assisted therapy, and not-so-traditional talk therapy in the rennovated grain silo office.

Anya Grimm

Assistant Barn Manager, Equine Specialist

Anya comes from the PNW, growing up in Bellingham, Washington, and attending her undergrad in Oregon. She has a bachelor’s in psychology and found her passion for horses at a young age, when she volunteered at a center for animal and equine-assisted therapy. Anya has always felt connected with all animals, but feels most at home with horses. She has a soft spot for training and partnering with 'project' horses, and finds her niche helping horses unlearn from traumatic pasts.

You can find her outside most days - especially in the mountains. Her special interests include music, animals, coffee, and clinical psychology. She intends to pursue a masters and PhD in counseling and provide research and advocacy for the efficacy of animal-assisted psychotherapy and socio-emotional learning programs.
